Psalms: Songs That Shape Our Souls

RGC_Psalms-page

The book of Psalms is topographical map describing the landscape of our lives. They mark lofty mountains, and deep valleys. Not only do the Psalms describe the territory–they also express our hearts as we travel. They are our weary cries, our joyful anthems, and our declarations of hope. They’re our road songs as we navigate life. “Road songs,” is more than an apt metaphor–because Psalms really are songs. They’re meant to be sung. And as we read, meditate, pray, and sing the Psalms, they shape us.

Check out this excellent video overview of the Psalms produced by the Bible Project.
