This week’s memory verse reminds us that one of the most important tools in the Bible interpreter’s toolbox is practicing the Word. Jesus taught us that if we want our lives to stand when the onrushing waves of trials and calamities come–we need to dig and dig deep, laying our foundation on the rock. Hearing and obeying Jesus’ words is the way we lay our foundation on the rock.
Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”
